The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) had big dreams for their technology future, but needed help getting there. Their strategy was ambitious, but did not explain the ways to achieve the vision They needed a roadmap, not just a destination. So, ACEP partnered with Ricochet to turn their strategy into reality.
Ricochet reviewed the strategic technology plan, created by another consultancy, and translated it into manageable changes. We started with a thorough evaluation of ACEP’s current systems to determine which aligned with the planned future. We identified the necessary tech upgrades that were essential for ACEP’s success, and determined a need for new learning management, financial management, association management, and marketing solutions.
Understanding that too much change at once could overwhelm staff, we created a five-year timeline for implementing the new systems. This plan carefully considered how the different solutions would work together and aimed to minimize disruption to ACEP’s day-to-day operations. Then we organized demos with leading software providers in the association space to build ACEP solution knowlege and business relationships. Ricochet also developed detailed financial projections, outlining both upfront and ongoing costs, ensuring ACEP had a clear picture of the investment required.
With a well-defined roadmap and budget in place, ACEP was ready to embark on its digital transformation journey.
