Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
This document governs the use of ricochetadvice.com and all services provided by Ricochet Advisory Services, LLC (“Ricochet“, “Academy“, “we”, “our” or “us”), including the Association Academy by Ricochet. By using our Site or attending our courses, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Site and services immediately.
2. Data Collection & Privacy
We collect personal data to promote and provide our consulting and educational services.
- What we collect: Name, email, job title, phone number, mobile number, ASAE ID Number, and other similar demographic information. We also collect technical data (IP addresses, browser type) via cookies and other technical methods.
- Children’s Privacy: Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
- “Do Not Track”: Please note that our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals from web browsers.
- State Rights: Residents of certain states, including Florida and California, may have specific rights to request access to or deletion of their personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
All webinars, classes, and events provided by Ricochet, including those by the Academy, are subject to the following:
- Anti-Harassment Policy: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Any student who engages in threatening, abusive, or harassing behavior toward our staff, instructors (whether employees or contractors), or fellow students will be removed immediately.
- Right of Termination: We reserve the right to unenroll any student or terminate access to Academy materials at our sole discretion.
- Refund Policy: If a student is unenrolled due to a violation of our Anti-Harassment Policy or other misconduct, no refund will be issued. Any Academy course registration, less transaction fees, may be refunded before the third class in the course when requested by contacting us. If the Academy cancels a course for business reasons (e.g., low enrollment), a full refund of the course fee will be provided. Other refunds are at our discretion.
- Certificates & CAE Credits: While we reserve the right to terminate future access to our platform, we will not revoke or interfere with CAE credits or certificates that a student has already earned and received prior to their termination.
4. Personal Data Management
- Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of marketing communications at any time by using the “unsubscribe” or “manage preferences” link in our emails or contacting us directly.
- Third Party Sharing: We may share data with business partners or affiliates to facilitate course delivery, provide relevant industry services, or for promotional purposes.
We retain your data for as long as is necessary to fulfill our business purposes or legal obligations. We use HubSpot and other industry-standard third-party providers to secure your information, though no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Legal Terms
- Intellectual Property: All logos, infographics, methodologies, educational resources, and website content provided by Ricochet are the exclusive property of Ricochet. These materials are for your personal or professional use only and may not be recorded, reproduced, or redistributed without our express written permission.
- Governing Law: These terms and any disputes arising from your use of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
- Updates to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically, as the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document will indicate when the most recent changes were made.
