ANS Evolves Membership Renewal
When the American Nuclear Society moved to rolling anniversary renewals, Ricochet rebuilt its renewal campaign with fresh design and messages tailored to six member types.
What was holding ANS back?
The American Nuclear Society (ANS) has more than 11,000 professional members. It made a big change to its membership model by switching to a rolling anniversary renewal date. The old renewal campaign was not built for that model, so its timing and messaging needed a serious overhaul. ANS asked Ricochet to rework the renewal effort from the ground up.
What did Ricochet build?
Ricochet changed the timing and frequency of renewal communications and added new ways to reach members. It wrote customized messages for six member types and designed a fresh look that matched ANS's updated brand, applied consistently across the campaign. Ricochet produced and implemented every renewal message itself. It also advised ANS on better ways to integrate data from its AMS into the renewal effort.
What changed for ANS's members?
Each ANS member now gets renewal reminders timed to their own anniversary date rather than one calendar cycle. The message speaks to their member type, and it arrives through more channels than before. Every piece carries the same updated ANS look, so renewals feel familiar and clearly come from the society. The goal behind it all is faster dues collection and higher renewal rates.
