Finseca Creates a New Membership Model
After a merger of two associations, Finseca worked with Ricochet to design one membership model with new tiers, tested dues projections and a plan to introduce it.
What was holding Finseca back?
Finseca formed when two established financial professional associations merged. Today it has more than 14,000 members, but at the start it carried two sets of membership structures and benefits. Leadership needed to combine them into a single offering that made sense and appealed to members of both legacy groups. That meant hard choices about which benefits to keep and what to charge. Finseca partnered with Ricochet to work through those decisions.
What did Ricochet do?
Ricochet audited the membership materials from both legacy associations. Working closely with Finseca's senior executives, we identified which benefits were sustainable and fit the vision of the new association. We proposed membership tiers with different dues rates designed for different member needs and budgets. We ran detailed financial projections across many scenarios to estimate likely dues revenue. Once the model was final, we wrote a communication plan and handed execution to Finseca's marketing department.
What changed for Finseca's members?
Members and prospects now see one Finseca membership instead of two inherited systems. They can choose a tier that matches their needs and budget, with benefits the association has confirmed it can sustain. Existing and potential members were introduced to the new organization through a series of targeted messages that explained its benefits and opportunities, so the change arrived with a clear story about what Finseca would offer them.
