VMAE Debates Strategies for Membership Growth
Ricochet designed a four-hour membership growth workshop for thirty senior executives of veterinary associations, using real-time polls to gather insights from the room.
What was holding VMAE back?
Veterinary Medical Association Executives (VMAE) meets in person so leaders of veterinary care associations can share best practices and wrestle with industry issues. Attracting and keeping members is one of the biggest of those issues. For a recent conference, VMAE wanted a workshop with real impact on how its members approach membership growth. It turned to Ricochet to design it.
What did Ricochet do?
Ricochet designed a four-hour workshop for thirty senior executives from veterinary care associations across the country. We built 150 slides covering a wide range of membership growth strategies. Ten real-time polls gathered insights from the room as the session went on. Topics included revamping member benefits, using data to make decisions, building digital experiences, improving dues collection and launching membership campaigns.
What changed for VMAE's members?
VMAE members spent the workshop in discussion with peers, comparing their own experiences attracting and retaining members. The real-time polls gave them a view of how other veterinary associations approach the same challenges. Each executive left with a broad set of membership growth strategies to weigh for their own association.
